Life in this field is demanding. The rooms are full. The stories are heavy. And it is easy to end up practicing alone in a space that does not feel like a home. That is not what we want for the people who do this work.

Flourish still has a core clinical team under its own name. Alongside that team, we are opening partner suites in our Spring Arbor house for licensed clinicians who want independence and still want to belong somewhere.

You keep your name, your clients, your rates, and your practice. You share the building, the waiting room, and a community of people trying to cultivate the same thing we are: human potential.

When you flourish, we all do.

What this is

Flourish: Center for Cultivating Human Potential is a house for people committed to serving others in a way that is effective, dignified, and aimed at human flourishing.

You would share the building with other clinicians—and with Flume, the think tank in the same house. The point is not square footage. It is a place with a family feel, where inspiration and serious thought about the work actually happen down the hall.

Flourish Partners is the rental model inside that house. It is not a job. It is not a split-fee group practice. It is a furnished room in a place that already has a reputation, a referral network, and colleagues close by.

You own the work. We tend the house. We are here to help you flourish anyway we can.

The Space

328 E Main Street, Spring Arbor, Michigan.

Beautifully furnished private offices, a waiting area, Wi-Fi, utilities, common rooms, and a group room for workshops and trainings. Clinicians averaging thirty or more clients a week receive priority on a dedicated private office.

The arrangement

$49 a day per room, or $695 per month for your own dedicated room. Fully furnished. All utilities included, which entails wifi, electricity, water, furnace/AC, trash removal, coffee, snacks, printer and scanner access, weekly cleaning, lawn care, snow removal and salt, and other routine maintenance.

Pay only for the time you use. Practice elsewhere if you want. You set fees, choose clients, keep your EHR, run your own billing and panels, and practice under your own name.

What you receive

Function, beauty, and the human element. The room. The reputation. The referrals. Consultation groups. The group space. Free or significantly discounted access to Flume’s The Human Experience Sessions, which are in process of being approved by ASWB ACE CE’s for licensed social workers (offering up to 20 free CE’s). Optional scheduling support if you use SimplePractice. Colleagues, not just square footage.

You can also make time with Korah Hoffman, a therapist and entrepreneur with more than ten years in the work, and with Kurt Hoffman, who leads Flume and has taught social work at Spring Arbor University for over a decade. The rest of the house is here for collaboration too.

Who this is for

LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, LP, LMFT, Psy.D., massage therapists, and neighboring work that serves the well-being of others.

People who can hold a room with dignity. People who want a home for the practice they are building. People who ground their work in a dignified view of the human person—and who want colleagues who do the same.

Oh, and if by chance you are an LLMSW, we can’t guarantee it, but it’s probable you can find great Supervision in house as well. So just inquire if that is you.

What this is not

Employment. No staff benefits. The core Flourish team stays under the Flourish name. Partner suites are for clinicians building their own practices inside the same house.
